Summer music festivals was the theme of our last session in Sagrada Familia Barcelona Toastmasters. We had a great show of authentic rock stars, leaded by Mario Mera in the Toastmaster role, who showed us his leadership skills.
Have you ever been in love with two people? With that strange question started his speech our guest Marc Culí from EADA Toastmasters, the first speaker of the night. What was he going to talk about? He explained us that he is in love with his girlfriend and with Bruce Springsteen. It was a great speech.
The second rock star speaker of the night was Alba Lucía Hincapié, our current VPPR and the following President of our club, who talked about how much important is to remember people’s name. She explained us a trick to help us in that task: the MOM system (Motivation – Observation – Mechanics). Alba performed a very interesting speech. Thanks Alba!
The last speaker of the night was Peter Matejka, from Telefónica Barcelona Toastmasters. Peter talked about the importance of following a healthy life, and he also advised us to read the food labels, it’s amazing. The food you are eating today is certainly influencing your life tomorrow. So, before eating, think about the kind of future you want.
The table topics session, leaded by Joana Sanz, shared the theme of the session: Summer Music Festivals. Some of our guests, Robert, Oriol and Mitka, jumped to the scenario to show us their improvisation skills.
And it wouldn’t had been a great session without the help of the General Evaluator, Victor Piqué, and his team, Sofia Seinfeld, Jana Stumke and Melina Montoya.
